Hi Laura!
I just thought I'd let you know all the awesome stuff that's been happening at my first week of Conservatory!
On Monday, every voice student was required to audition for placement into the different choirs. I was accepted into Bella Voce, the advanced undergraduate women's ensemble! It only has about 20 girls in it, and it's a really big honor to be selected as a freshman!
....But it gets better. I got a call yesterday from the director of Canticum Novum, the undergraduate mixed chamber group, asking me to come in and do a callback audition. I just got the e-mail tonight saying that I am one of five sopranos selected for the group out of ALL the undergraduate singers!!!!
Needless to say, I am very excited to get started, and this has already been an amazing experience!
Thanks for all of your help in getting me ready for this new adventure :)
